We’re not exaggerating when we say that all you need to do here is arrive, relax and enjoy yourselves. The restored farmhouse house is ready to go, simply restored, much-loved and easy to enjoy. It’s the sort of property where family & friends will enjoy every minute together. The house is rustic and casual. The outside living spaces are ideal and designed for pure enjoyment, where the 8×4 pool, the multiple terraces and the shaded pergola all come together. The excellent views include a bit of the distant mountains, full-on rolling hills and summer sunflower fields and the postcard-like view of Sant’Angelo up on the hillside.

Casa Godetevi comes in around 160-170 sqm. that has maintained a lot of its original character, including the original shape of the house. The form of the house is as eclectic as they come, unlike the standard boxy houses you may have seen. That carries through to the exterior walls, too, done in a mix of rendered plaster and old stone.
Casa Godetevi’s layout is very easy to enjoy. You can enter the ground floor through a door to the kitchen, accessed from the parking area, or, from a door that leads inside from the pergola. You step down into a lounge area with high beamed ceilings, some original exposed stone walls and a couple of big windows that let the natural light pour in. There is a wood burner here as well as a big ceiling fan. You move though this room to the dining room, also very rustic, where an old section of manger has been re-purposed as bench seating on one side of the table. You then step up to the spacious country kitchen. The kitchen includes an bar/island that can accommodate 3-4 people and a big 5-burner cooktop and marble countertop.
Note that there are beamed ceilings throughout the house, as well as old cotto floor tiles. The old original walls that keep things cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
Heading back through the lounge area, you step up to multi-use room that is currently used for storage, but could easily be used as an office, a gym or as an extra bedroom for family and friends when Casa Godetevi is otherwise at full capacity Adjacent to this room is a bathroom with shower. The bathrooms in the house have a vintage style to them are studies in maximizing space, all the while staying true to the eclectic character of the house.
Taking the rustic main staircase up to the bedroom floor we have three simple bedrooms, all with beamed ceilings and cotto floor tiles. There are two modestly sized bedrooms and one that’s bigger. On this floor is a small ensuite bathroom and a bigger family bathroom. The bedroom windows are equipped with insect screens. In summary, Casa Godetevi delivers 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Part of enjoying a property is having the basics in order. Some practical considerations at Casa Godetevi include these features – double-glazed windows and doors, funky interior doors that were restored from original old ones. Excellent broadband internet if available at the house, if you must, you can easily work from the house during extended stays, or enjoy steaming your favorite Netflix series or Spotify dolce vita playlist!. The heating system is a standard radiator/gas system and the ground floor wood burner helps out on the coldest of days. The access road to the house is easy to navigate.
Heading outside at Casa Godetevi your enjoyment takes another step up! The 8m x 4m pool is a joy, perfectly situated to enhance the outside of the house and to maximize the views. The pool has a big surround and on both ends there is poolside furniture and umbrellas. Between the house and pool is a nice terrace area, with decorative gravel. Just up from the pool and adjacent to the western side of the house is a terrific pergola with a big dining table and decorative lighting. In fact, much of the plot has hardwired exterior accent lighting. The views from Casa Godetevi are excellent. Distant high mountains to one side, rolling hills and summer sunflower fields dead-center and the aforementioned postcard-like view of the nearby hill-town of Sant’Angelo in Pontano.
Casa Godetevi’s plot, at just under 4,000 sqm. is a perfectly manageable one in that it allows you to enjoy it, rather than spend lots of time and money maintaining it! The plot is gently sloping from the poolside onward, partly lawn and partly wooded. There are around a dozen olive trees on the plot, a signature cypress tree, walnut trees and lots of lavender. Also on the plot is the very useful 30 sqm. accessory building. Here, the owners have the laundry machine and lots of space for storing bikes, a scooter, pool furniture and more.
Casa Godetevi is close to everything. It’s perfectly situated for enjoying all there is to see, sample and sip in Le Marche – in short it’s a perfect location for pure enjoyment. As mentioned, Casa Godetevi is located a short, easy drive from the piazza of Sant’Angelo in Pontano, a lively hill-town loved by locals and foreign visitors alike. The town has a supermarket, cafes and restaurants, as well as breathtaking views from its panoramic walkways. The town hosts a number of local festas during the year.
Given its central location in the province of Macerata, it’s 10-15 minutes to classic hill-towns such as Loro Piceno, Colmurano, San Ginesio, Urbisaglia and Servigliano. The Saputi and La Murola vineyards are both within 15 minutes of the house. The designer hat capital of the World, Montappone, is 15 minutes away. The city of Tolentino and provincial capital of Macerata are 25 minutes from the house. Adriatic beaches are 40 minutes away and the trails, picnic areas, mountain, road or “e” biking, skiing (and lots more) in the Sibillini Mountains National Park are 35 minutes away. You’re just 20 minutes from the Fiastra Abbey Nature Preserve, a network of walking trails, cycling and equestrian trails as well as huge picnic lawns, golf driving range and two restaurants. The area surrounding Casa Godetevi is packed with places to eat, together with weekly markets and local purveyors of olive oil, wine, cheeses, vegetables, fish from the Adriatic Sea and locally raised meat.
To get to Casa Godetevi, note that the Ancona airport is a 70 minute drive from the house. You can easily reach Casa Godetevi from the Perugia and Pescara airports, as well. Major rail lines are close-by, within 20-30 minutes. The main north/south Autostrada A14 is around 30 minutes from the house
